Glorified Rice - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. uncooked rice
1 1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. diced pineapple
12 marshmallows, quartered
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 c. heavy cream, whipped
6 pineapple slices
6 maraschino cherries
Preparation

Place rice, milk and salt in top of double boiler over boiling water and cover closely.
Steam until rice is tender and milk is entirely absorbed about 35 to 40 minutes.
Combine with pineapple and marshmallows.
Add lemon juice.
Mix thoroughly and chill. Fold in whipped cream.
Pile lightly into serving dishes, each lined with a quarter pineapple slice.
Garnish with maraschino cherries.
Serves 6.
