1-2-3-4 Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. cake flour
    4 eggs, separated
    1 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 rounded tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream margarine and sugar. Beat in egg yolks, one at a time. Add baking powder and salt to flour and sift four times. Add milk and flour alternately to batter; add vanilla. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into batter. Pour into three round cake pans, which have been greased and floured. Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 20 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool.
