Ida'S Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    3 c. plain flour (measure before sifting)
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 stick butter
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. lemon flavoring
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. milk
    6 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
Preparation
    Cream sugar, butter and shortening.
    Mix well.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
    Sift together dry ingredients. Add dry mixture and milk alternately to sugar mixture, beginning and ending with flour.
    Fold in flavorings.
    Bake in tube pan 1 hour and 15 minutes or until done at 350\u00b0.
