Raisin Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 raisins
    2 c. water
    1 c. sour milk (1 Tbsp. vinegar per c. of milk)
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. nuts, chopped
    2 or 3 eggs (depending on size)
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. dates
    4 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. soda
    1 Tbsp. powdered sugar
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Stew raisins in 2 cups water for 15 minutes; let cool.
    Mix all dry ingredients together.
    Blend eggs, sugar and shortening. Blend to dry ingredients.
    Add milk, raisins and dates.
    Pour into three loaf pans 1/3 full.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 35 to 40 minutes.
    Store in refrigerator.
