Texas Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 lb. ground beef (less if desired)
    1 tsp. garlic juice
    4 Tbsp. butter
    2 small cans tomato sauce
    4 green onions, chopped (including tops)
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. egg noodles, cooked according to pkg. directions
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
    1 (16 oz.) carton sour cream
    1 can mushroom soup
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Brown meat; pour off fat.
    Add garlic juice and butter.
    Saute 20 minutes.
    Add tomato sauce and sugar, salt and pepper to taste. Simmer 15 minutes.
    Combine cream cheese, sour cream and chopped onions.
    While noodles are cooking according to package directions, alternate layers of noodles, meat mixture and cheese mixture in a 3-quart dish.
    Repeat twice.
    Top with mushroom soup.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
    Add grated cheese during the last 5 minutes of cooking time.
