Mincemeat(Makes One 8-Inch Pie) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. ground beef or turkey
    2 c. chopped apples
    1 c. golden raisins
    1/6 c. cider or apple juice
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 c. plus 1 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Break meat up and cook slowly in a little oil.
    Do not brown. Put meat and apples in food processor and grind a bit.
    Return to pan.
    Add remaining ingredients. Bring slowly to a boil.
    Turn down heat.
    Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
    Cool.
    Store in fridge for 2 or 3 days to age, if possible.
    Then place in 8-inch unbaked pie shell.
    Top with other crust, solid or cut in strips and crisscrossed.
    Add a little brandy to taste if you wish.
    Bake in a 425\u00b0 oven for 10 minutes and lower heat to 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes more.
