Pork And Apple Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 pork chops, trimmed of fat
    4 cooking apples, peeled and sliced
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 scant tsp. cinnamon
    1/8 tsp. nutmeg
    salt and pepper
    6 thick onion slices
    2 Tbsp. hard butter, cut into 6 pieces
Preparation
    Place apples in a large, lightly greased baking dish and sprinkle with sugar and spices. Place chops on apples. Place a slice of onion on each chop and top with a piece of butter. Cover and bake at 250\u00b0 for 60 to 70 minutes. Remove cover to brown slightly for 10 minutes. Makes 6 servings.
