Cheese-Onion Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

13 small white onions, peeled
6 bread slices
1 c. grated American cheese
2 c. milk
4 eggs, beaten
1/2 tsp. salt
pepper
Preparation

Parboil onions until tender.
Quarter bread slices.
Put half of bread quarters in buttered 1 1/2-quart casserole.
Place half of onions on bread.
Sprinkle with 1/2 cup cheese.
Repeat with remaining bread, onion and cheese.
Add milk, salt and pepper to eggs.
Pour over mixture in casserole.
Set casserole in pan of hot water.
Bake in 350\u00b0 oven, 45 to 50 minutes or until firm.
