Peach Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs, unbeaten
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    4 fresh peaches, sliced
    1/3 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 c. nuts
Preparation
    Cream shortening.
    Add 1/2 cup sugar and beaten eggs.
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt.
    Add to wet mixture (gradually). Pour 1/2 of batter into loaf pan.
    Slice peaches and lay over batter.
    Add remaining batter.
    Combine 1/3 cup of sugar, cinnamon and nuts.
    Sprinkle over top of cake. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
