Soft Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. margarine
    3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1 egg
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    3 c. Quick oats
    1 1/2 c. raisins (optional)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Beat margarine and sugars until fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.
    Add dry ingredients.
    Mix well.
    Stir in oats and raisins.
    Drop rounded tablespoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake 8 to 9 minutes for chewy cookies and 10 to 11 minutes for crispy cookies.
    Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet.
    Remove to wire rack.
    Makes 4 1/2 dozen.
