How To Make Apple Butter - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 gal. water
5 bushels Golden Delicious apples
30 lb. sugar
small can cinnamon
3/4 can cloves
1/2 can allspice

Preparation

In 15 gallon kettle add water and apples.
Cook several hours or until it doesn't weep.
Add sugar, cinnamon, cloves and allspice.
Continue cooking for at least 1 hour longer.
Yields about 12 gallons.
