Shrimp(Butterfly, Fried) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. raw shrimp
    1 tsp. salt
    1 egg
    1/2 c. cornstarch
    1 1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Peel shrimp, leaving tail.
    Split down center of back; remove black vein.
    Spread open and flat.
    Rinse and dry.
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Stir in egg; gradually add water.
    Beat until smooth.
    Dip shrimp in batter.
    Fry in hot fat at 375\u00b0 for 2 or 3 minutes.
    Drain.
