Sweet 'N Sour Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. stew meat, cut in 1-inch cubes
    2 Tbsp. cooking oil
    1 c. diced onion
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    4 tsp. cornstarch
    1 c. chopped carrots
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. vinegar
    noodles
    poppy seed
Preparation
    Brown meat in oil.
    Add onion, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, carrots, tomato sauce, salt, vinegar and 1/2 cup water.
    Cover and cook over low heat until meat is tender, about 2 hours.
    Combine cornstarch and 1/4 cup cold water; add to beef mixture.
    Cook and stir until thick and bubbly.
    Serve over hot, cooked noodles sprinkled with poppy seed, if desired.
