Caramels From The "Globe" - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. white sugar
    1 c. white Karo syrup
    1 stick butter
    1 2/3 c. half and half
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cook sugar, Karo, butter and half and half over medium heat, stirring constantly.
    Cook until 240\u00b0 or candy forms a solid ball in cold water.
    Take off heat; add vanilla and pour into well buttered dish.
