5 Hour (No Peek) Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. lean beef stew meat (1 1/2-inch cubes)
    5 large potatoes (chunks)
    5 carrots, cut 1-inch pieces
    4 large stalks celery, cut 1-inch pieces
    1 medium onion, sliced
    1 medium green pepper, sliced
    2 (10 3/4 oz.) cans condensed golden mushroom soup
    2 1/2 Tbsp. quick-cooking tapioca or cornstarch
    1 or 2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    In large Dutch oven layer all ingredients except tapioca or cornstarch, salt
    and
    pepper.
    Combine
    tapioca,
    salt
    and pepper and sprinkle over stew;
    cover.
    Bake in 250\u00b0 oven for 5 hours.
    Yield:
    6 to 8 servings.
