Ingredients

2 1/2 c. plain flour
2 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. Crisco
2 eggs
1/3 c. milk
Preparation

Cream sugar and Crisco together.
Add eggs.
Sift all dry ingredients.
Add milk and dry ingredients to egg mixture.
Set dough in refrigerator about 2 hours to chill.
Roll out on pastry sheet; cut and then deep fry.
