Grits Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. quick grits
    4 c. water
    3 eggs, beaten
    1 1/2 to 2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
    1 c. milk
    1 lb. hot sausage, cooked and drained
Preparation
    Put grits in water and bring to a boil; cook for 5 minutes. Pour in a large bowl.
    Add cheese, stirring to melt.
    Quickly add eggs, stirring briskly.
    Add milk and sausage.
    Pour mixture into greased 3-quart casserole.
    Top with 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese and cook at 400\u00b0 until casserole bubbles.
    Good Sunday brunch or cold winter night supper.
