Shrimp Delight - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. Crisco oil
    1 lb. medium size shrimp, peeled and deveined
    1/2 onion, chopped
    1 green or red bell pepper, cut in thin strips
    1/2 c. thinly sliced celery
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 tsp. hot pepper sauce
    1/2 tsp. dried thyme leaves
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1 1/2 c. instant rice (uncooked)
    chopped parsley (optional)
Preparation
    Heat oil in large skillet. Add shrimp, onion, pepper strips and celery. Cook and stir until shrimp are pink. Add stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce, hot pepper sauce, thyme and garlic powder. Bring to a boil. Stir in the rice; cover and remove from heat. Let stand for 5 or 6 minutes, then fluff with a fork. If desired, sprinkle with parsley before serving. Serve with garden salad and French bread.
