Baked Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large baking potatoes
    2/3 c. butter or margarine
    2/3 c. all-purpose flour
    6 c. milk
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. sour cream
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    4 green onions, chopped
    12 slices bacon, fried and crumbled
    1 1/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Wash potatoes; pierce several times with fork.
    Bake 1 hour or until done.
    Cut in halves lengthwise, scoop out pulp; discard jackets.
    Melt butter in saucepan over low heat. Add flour; cook until smooth, stirring constantly.
    Cook for 1 minute longer.
    Add milk gradually; cook over medium heat until thickened and bubbly, stirring constantly.
    Add potato pulp, salt, pepper, 2 tablespoons green onions, 1/2 cup bacon and 1 cup cheese. Cook until heated through.
    Stir in sour cream.
    Serve topped with remaining green onions, bacon and cheese.
    Yield:
    6 to 8 servings.
