Pumpkin Chess Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 deep dish all vegetable shortening pie crust
1 1/2 c. canned pumpkin (not pie filling)
1/2 c. half and half
3 eggs at room temperature
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. plus 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1/4 tsp. salt
scant 1/4 tsp. ground ginger
scant 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
scant 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Process pumpkin and next 9 ingredients in container of an electric blender or food processor until smooth, stopping once to scrape down sides.
Pour pumpkin mixture into prepared pie crust. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 10 minutes. or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool completely on a wire rack.
