Cheese Stuffed Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 large green peppers
    1 1/2 Tbsp. chopped onion
    5 Tbsp. butter, divided
    2 c. bread crumbs
    3 c. American cheese, divided
    1/2 tsp. salt
    pinch of pepper
Preparation
    Remove seeds from peppers; boil 5 minutes and drain upside down.
    Saute onion in 1 tablespoon butter.
    Combine all ingredients except 1 cup cheese.
    Fill peppers with mixture and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
    Bake in greased baking dish at 375\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
