Creamed Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 head cabbage, sliced
    1/2 small onion, sliced
    1/4 c. water
    1 stalk celery
    1 grated carrot
    2 Tbsp. bacon fryings
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/2 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Cook first 5 ingredients until tender. When vegetables are tender, add bacon fryings and salt and pepper.
    Mix together milk, sugar and cornstarch.
    Add to cabbage, stirring constantly. Reduce heat, let stand, and ready to serve!
    Serves 4 to 6 people.
