Tamale Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground chuck
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 small jar pimento
    1/2 medium green pepper, chopped
    1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    1/4 c. water
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    dash of crushed red pepper or hot pepper sauce (if desired)
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 Tbsp. flour
    2 Tbsp. hot water
    1 can pitted black ripe olives, halved
    2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    2 c. corn chips, lightly crushed
Preparation
    Brown ground chuck; add onion, garlic, pimento, green pepper, mushrooms, tomato sauce, water, chili powder and red pepper or hot pepper sauce.
    Simmer for 20 minutes.
    Add salt and pepper to taste.
    Make a paste of the flour and water.
    Stir into meat mixture.
    Add ripe olives.
    Cook over low heat until it comes to a boil.
    Season to taste.
    Layer mixture, grated cheese and crushed chips into a 2 1/2-quart baking dish.
    Top with chips.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for approximately 30 minutes until hot clear through.
