Banana Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sifted flour
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. whole bran
    1 well beaten egg
    1 c. mashed ripe banana
    1/3 c. milk
    1/3 c. liquid or melted margarine
Preparation
    Sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
    Stir in bran which has been soaked in milk for 5 minutes.
    Mix remaining ingredients.
    Add all at once to flour mixture, stirring to moisten.
    Fill muffin pans 2/3 full.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Yields 11 large muffins.
