Liver And Rice Creole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. liver
    1 c. flour
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 Tbsp. salt
    5 c. tomato puree
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    4 c. cooked rice
    2 c. rice krispies
    2 Tbsp. melted butter
Preparation
    Cut liver into 1/2 inch cubes.
    Coat with flour and saute in shortening until brown.
    Add salt, tomato puree and peppers. Simmer for 5 minutes.
    Alternate layers of rice and tomato mixture.
    Combine cereal and margarine.
    Sprinkle over liver. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
