Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter or oleo
1 beaten egg
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar; add beaten egg, dry ingredients and nuts.
Form into rolls; chill, slice and bake at 325\u00b0.
The dough can be dropped onto a greased cookie sheet and baked as dropped cookies.
