Grandma Marley'S Chow Chow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 peck green tomatoes (12 1/2 lb.)
    8 large onions
    10 green bell peppers
    3 Tbsp. salt
    6 hot peppers
    1 qt. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
    1 Tbsp. allspice
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    3 Tbsp. dry mustard
    few bay leaves
    1 3/4 c. sugar
Preparation
    Chop tomatoes, onions and peppers together and let stand. Drain.
    Add the hot peppers, which have been chopped, the vinegar and spices (spices tied in cheesecloth bag).
    Allow to boil slowly until tender (about 15 minutes).
    Pack tightly into hot Mason or Kerr canning jars and seal at once.
