Fresh Orange Loaf Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sifted cake flour
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. double-acting baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. liquid (grated rind and juice from 1 orange)
1/2 to 2/3 c. eggs
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients together into large bowl.
Add shortening and orange juice.
Beat vigorously for 2 minutes with electric mixer on slow to medium speed.
Add eggs and beat 2 more minutes. Pour into greased and floured 8 x 4-inch loaf pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 60 to 65 minutes.
