European Beef Stroganoff - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. beef tenderloin, thinly sliced
2 Tbsp. butter
1 medium onion
1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
2 c. sour cream
salt and pepper to taste
prepared mustard to taste
dash of nutmeg and paprika
Preparation

Cut beef into strips about 1/4 x 2-inches.
Slice the onion in 1/4-inch slices and then the slices in half.
Melt the butter in a pan and saute the onions and mushrooms.
When the onion is limp, push the mushrooms and onions to one side and add the meat.
Brown it quickly on all sides, takes about 5 minutes.
Then carefully add sour cream, salt and pepper and a dash of mustard, nutmeg and paprika.
When sauce is thoroughly hot, serve over cooked rice. Serves 4.
