Duchess Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. diced potatoes
1 c. chopped celery
1 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 (1 lb.) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables/leftovers
4 cubes chicken base
2 c. chopped chicken or turkey
1 c. Cheddar or American cheese, shredded
1 can evaporated milk or 1 qt. whole milk
Preparation
-
Saute potatoes, celery and onion in butter.
Add mixed vegetables.
Cover with water and bring to boil.
Add chicken base and chicken.
Add cheese and milk.
Bring to boil, then add flour and water paste to thicken or if you have leftover mashed potatoes, add it to thicken, instead of flour.
Cook slow until thick.
Serve with hot rolls or bread.
