Aunt Reva'S Apple Raisin Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. raisins
2 c. sugar
2 c. water
1 c. shortening
apples (enough to make a pie)
4 c. flour
2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cloves

Preparation

Put the first 4 ingredients in a pan; bring to a boil and set aside.
In a big mixing bowl, put enough apples to make a pie, then add the remaining ingredients.
Mix both batches of ingredients together.
Bake in a broiler pan at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
Frost while warm with dark chocolate frosting.
Very moist and yummy.
