Rye Rounds - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. sharp cheese
    3 large carrots
    2 medium onions
    about 2 Tbsp. milk
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Grate carrots, cheese and onions; add salt, pepper and milk to soften.
    Mix together until it forms a sort of paste.
    Let stand for a while until flavors blend (at least 1 hour).
    To serve, spread mixture on rye rounds (party rye) and toast.
    Serve hot.
