Butter Shortbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter
    1 c. sugar
    3 c. sifted flour
    1 c. cornstarch
Preparation
    Cream butter and shortening thoroughly; gradually add sifted flour and cornstarch.
    Mix until flour is moistened.
    Spread on cookie sheet; refrigerate overnight.
    Bake starting at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Optional:
    Chop up 2 large Cadbury milk chocolate bars and sprinkle over hot cookies.
    Spread when melted.
    Cut while warm.
