Beet Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. vinegar
1 c. water
1 c. sugar (1 1/4 c. if sweeter desired)
mixed pickling spices
Preparation

Wash beets and boil until cooked, then peel them, slice them and put them in the syrup mixture.
Bring to a boil; pack in jars and seal while hot.
