Snowball Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. shortening or 1/2 butter and 1/2 shortening
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. flour
    3 c. oatmeal (quick)
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugar and eggs together, then add vanilla. Sift dry ingredients including the oats.
    Gradually add this to the first mixture, a cup at a time, until well blended.
    Chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
    Roll into small balls (1 teaspoon), then roll in the powdered sugar.
    Place on a cookie sheet.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
    Do not overcook.
