Gumdrop Fruitcake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. gumdrops
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
4 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 lb. raisins
1 c. nuts
1 1/2 c. applesauce
Preparation

Reserve 2 cups flour to roll gumdrops, raisins and nuts in. Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs; mix well.
Add dry ingredients and applesauce.
Dissolve baking soda in 1 tablespoon hot water and add gumdrops, raisins and nuts.
Use 2 bread pans or 1 tube pan.
Bake at 300\u00b0 to 350\u00b0 for approximately 2 hours.
