Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 stick Parkay margarine
    1/2 c. white Karo
Preparation
    Put ingredients in iron skillet and start heating.
    Have oven hot and partial parch 2 cups peanuts (about 1/2 done).
    Take out of oven and dump in skillet of mixture above.
    Turn stove eye on high.
    Cook 2 or 3 minutes until syrup is caramel light.
    Set off stove and add 1 teaspoon soda.
    Stir for a minute.
    Pour in 2 greased cookie pans.
    Smooth down.
    When cold, break into pieces. Keep in tight covered container.
