Mama'S Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. buttermilk
    6 c. self-rising flour
Preparation
    Break eggs in a large mixing bowl; beat well.
    Stir in 1 1/2 cups sugar; add shortening.
    Mix well.
    Add buttermilk, alternately with flour.
    When stiff enough to roll, add rest of sugar and work into dough.
    Divide into 3 balls.
    Roll one ball at a time 1/8-inch thick.
    Cut and place on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400\u00b0 until golden brown.
    Makes a big bunch.
    When cool, put in covered container.
