Scripture Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. Judges 5:25
2 c. Jeremiah 6:20
3 1/2 c. 1 Kings 4:22
2 c. 1 Samuel 30:12
1 c. Genesis 43:11
1 c. Hebrews 5:13
3 Isaiah 10:14
pinch of Leviticus 12:13
sweeten with 1 Kings 10:2
2 tsp. Matthew 13:32
1 c. lard
2 c. sugar
3 1/2 c. flour
2 c. raisins
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. milk
3 whole eggs
pinch of salt
spices to taste
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
2 tsp. baking powder

Preparation

Sift dry ingredients together.
Add sugar, lard, 2 cups raisins and 3/4 cup milk.
Mix until all flour is dampened.
Beat 2 minutes.
Add 3 unbeaten eggs and 1/4 cup milk.
Beat 1 minute. Bake at 375\u00b0 in a tube pan.
