French Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. flour, heaped
    1 c. milk
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. margarine, softened
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. sugar
Preparation
    Cook flour and milk over medium heat, stirring constantly until it starts to thicken.
    Reduce heat to low and continue to stir until thick and smooth.
    Remove from heat and let cool.
    This has to be cooked slow so it won't get lumpy.
    Cream together shortening and margarine.
    Then add to flour mixture and mix well.
    Add vanilla.
    Add sugar.
