Italian Cream Cake(Chocolate) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 c. sugar
    5 egg yolks
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 small can coconut
    1 c. pecans, chopped
    5 egg whites, stiffly beaten
    1/4 c. cocoa (optional)
Preparation
    Cream the margarine and shortening.
    Add sugar and beat well. Add yolks and beat.
    Combine flour, cocoa, soda and baking powder and add to the creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Add coconut and pecans.
    Fold in beaten egg whites. Pour batter into three 9-inch greased cake pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes or until done.
    Bake 35 to 40 minutes if using a 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Cool and frost.
