Cherry Rhubarb Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. cherry rhubarb, cut in 1-inch slices
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 1/4 c. water
Preparation
    Place rhubarb in a large saucepan.
    Pour sugar over and let stand 1 hour.
    Add water to mixture in saucepan.
    Bring to a boil slowly, uncovered.
    Cook 1 to 5 minutes until rhubarb is soft. Cool.
    Cover and refrigerate several hours before serving.
    Serves 6.
