Swiss Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. round steak
1 pkg. onion soup mix
1/2 c. celery, chop fine
1/2 c. green pepper, sliced thin
1/2 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
1 can tomatoes
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/8 tsp. black pepper
Preparation

Trim off fat and cut steak in serving size pieces.
Place steak in pot.
Sprinkle onion soup mix over it.
Lay on mushrooms, celery and green peppers.
Add Worcestershire sauce, then tomatoes, garlic and black pepper.
Cover and simmer for about 1 1/2 hours, until fork-tender, stirring several times to mix flavors.
