Old Fashion Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. margarine
1/2 c. shortening (I use butter flavored Crisco)
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. flour

Preparation

Cream margarine, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; mix thoroughly.
Slowly add dry ingredients that have been sifted together.
Chill at least 3 hours.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in hot oven (400\u00b0) for 7 minutes or until slightly brown.
Do not overbake!
Makes 5 dozen.
