Paella(Spain) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 oz. Italian sausage links
    2 (19 oz.) cans ready-to-serve minestrone soup
    8 oz. tomato sauce
    2 tsp. dried crushed thyme leaves
    8 oz. small to medium peeled and deveined shrimp
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    8 oz. boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1/2-inch strips
    1 1/4 c. uncooked quick cooking rice
Preparation
    In a large saucepan, brown sausage links and cut in 1/4-inch slices.
    Add minestrone soup, tomato sauce, thyme and garlic powder; bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 3 minutes.
    Add shrimp and chicken.
    Simmer, covered, until shrimp are pink and chicken is cooked through, about 5 minutes.
    Stir in uncooked rice.
    Remove from heat.
    Cover; let stand until almost all the liquid is absorbed.
    Serve in bowls.
    Makes 6 cups.
