Old-Fashioned Chocolate Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 Tbsp. flour
    4 Tbsp. cocoa
    3 c. milk
    4 egg yolks, beaten
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 pie shells, baked
Preparation
    Combine sugar, salt, cornstarch, flour and cocoa; gradually add milk and stir well.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens; boil 1 minute.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir a little of the mixture into egg yolks; blend yolks into hot mixture.
    Boil 1 minute; remove from heat.
    Stir in butter and vanilla.
    Pour into pie shells.
    Add meringue; bake until done.
    Yield: 2 (8-inch) pies.
