Rainbow Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. almond paste (comes in a can)
    3 sticks margarine, soft
    1 c. sugar
    4 eggs or 6 egg whites
    2 c. flour
    1/4 Tbsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. almond extract
    12 oz. apricot preserves
    1 oz. water
    red and green food coloring
    6 oz. chocolate chips, melted
Preparation
    Mix paste, margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and extract, then flour and salt.
    Line three 9 x 13-inch pans with foil and grease. Divide batter into 3 parts and color one green and one red.
    Leave one as is (yellow).
    Pour into the 3 pans. Bake these thin layers at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes (it may need 12 minutes; don't let it get too hard).
