Old Fashioned Tea Cakes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 beaten eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1/4 tsp. soda
1 Tbsp. vanilla
self-rising flour
Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs and vanilla.
Stir soda in buttermilk and add to mixture.
Then add enough flour to make dough stiff.
Pinch off small amount at a time and place on greased cookie sheet.
Flatten with your hand; use floured board or dip in flour.
It can also be rolled out and cut.
