Banana Split Cake - cooking recipe

5 bananas
3 sticks butter (1 stick melted in pan)
2 c. graham cracker crumbs
2 eggs
2 c. confectioners sugar
1 large can crushed pineapple, drained
1 c. chopped nuts
cherries
1 large container Cool Whip
Preparation

Mix 1 stick melted butter with graham cracker crumbs; pat evenly in pan (9 x 13-inch or two 8-inch square).
Beat together with electric mixer for no less than 15 minutes the remaining butter, sugar and eggs; spread over crumbs.
Cover with sliced bananas, spread with drained pineapple, cover with Cool Whip and sprinkle with nuts and cherries.
Refrigerate 4 to 5 hours or overnight.
