Cream Puff Ring - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    4 eggs
    1 c. milk
    3/4 c. dairy sour cream
    1 (3 3/4 oz.) pkg. vanilla instant pudding and pie filling
    1/4 tsp. almond extract
    1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
Preparation
    Heat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Heat water and butter to boiling in a 1-quart saucepan.
    Stir in flour.
    Stir vigorously until mixture forms a ball, about 1 minute.
    Add eggs; beat until smooth.
    Drop dough by tablespoons onto greased baking sheet to form an 8-inch ring.

    Smooth ring lightly with spatula.
    Bake until puffed and golden, 50 to 60 minutes.
    Cool ring.
